Parents FAQ

Questions, answered.
No runaround.

We know you've got about 90 seconds between drop-off and your next meeting. Let's make this quick.

Real-time availability is basically our whole thing. You'll see exactly how many spots remain in any given class, whether an activity is on a waitlist (and your position if you join one), and when new spots typically open up. No more calling the local swim school on a Tuesday morning, being put on hold for seven minutes, and then discovering they stopped doing beginner lessons back in 2023.
No catch. Searching, browsing, booking, and managing your family calendar — all free, forever. Think of us like Airbnb: guests browse for free, hosts pay to list. We make money from the activity providers who join Kidsplor. You pay the provider directly for the activity at whatever price they set. That's the whole model, and we're not hiding anything in the fine print.
Think of us as your very organised neighbour who somehow knows about every dance studio, coding club, and Saturday soccer comp within 10km of your house. You tell us your child's age, what they're into (or what you'd like them to try), and your rough location — we surface the best matches. Filter by suburb, age group, day of week, price, and category. The more you use Kidsplor, the smarter the suggestions get.
Everything your child might want to try — and a few things they definitely didn't ask for but you're trying anyway. Dance, swimming, gymnastics, soccer, cricket, coding, robotics, Mandarin, art classes, drama, music, yoga for kids, nature play, chess, and yes — there will almost certainly be a circus skills class. If kids do it in Australia, we want to list it.
Pretty close. Find an activity, check availability, hit Book, confirm your details — done. Booking confirmation lands in your inbox and syncs to your calendar. No back-and-forth emails, no downloading PDF enrolment forms, and absolutely no faxing anything to anyone (yes, some providers still ask for this; we are saving you from that future).
We're launching in Sydney first — across Greater Sydney, from the Northern Beaches to Sutherland and the Hills District. Melbourne and Brisbane follow shortly after. If you're in a different city and want us there sooner, the best thing you can do is join the waitlist and tell your friends. Demand shapes our expansion map.
Completely fair, and we take this seriously. Every provider on Kidsplor goes through a verification process before going live: valid ABN, appropriate public liability insurance, and current Working With Children checks for all instructors. We monitor reviews actively and have a clear process for handling complaints. Providers who don't maintain standards don't stay on the platform.
Yes — and this is one of the things we're most proud of. Add as many kids as you have (or are willing to admit to). Each child gets their own profile, their own colour-coded activity schedule, and age-appropriate activity suggestions. Your family calendar shows all their activities in one view, highlights schedule clashes, and reminds you before you accidentally double-book a Saturday morning.
Push notifications, email reminders, and calendar sync — you'll know about upcoming sessions well in advance. If a provider cancels, you'll find out before you're standing in a car park at 9am with a confused six-year-old in a leotard. Providers are required to give notice via the platform, and repeated late cancellations affect their listing status. We're on your side here.
Solid question, and we're glad you asked it. We collect only what's necessary to make the service work. We do not sell your data or your children's data to third parties. We don't use children's information for profiling or advertising. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, written in actual English rather than 14-point legalese designed to make your eyes glaze over.
